Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 9 March 1960 Howard D. Briese Died Tuesday A.M. Howard D. Briese, a resident of the Loma section for the past 50 years, passed away at the St. Clare hospital in this city Tuesday morning following a brief illness. Howard was born March 14, 1909, at Deer Park, Wash. He came to Chouteau county with his parents in 1910, the father, the late E. J. Briese, homesteaded there. He assisted his father on the ranch in early manhood then engaged in farming for a good many years in that section. For the past few years he has operated the Village Inn at Loma. He was well known by a large number of the residents in the Loma and Fort Benton area. In Oct. 1958, he was united in marriage to Helene Margaret Petet in this city, who survives him. Also surviving are the following children by a former marriage: Shirley Frieling, of this city; Sharon Briese, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Marvin Briese, who is serving with the armed forces at Fort Carson, Colo.; and LeRoy Briese of Loma; five grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Lola Briese of this city; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Laura McKeever and Mrs. Annabel Schoonover, of Loma; Mrs. Grace Senef, of Denton; Mrs. Beulah Olson, Great Falls; Lloyd Briese, of National City, Calif.; and Herbert Briese, of Loma; and other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held from the Benton Funeral Home chapel on this Friday at 2 o'clock p.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. The relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
