Description	:	Hulda Witte Pearson was born August 16, 1894, in Fillmore County at Fred and Elizabeth Witte. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith as an infant. Hulda attended public schools in Fillmore County. She was confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church south of Grafton, where she continued her membership and was organist for 13 years. She also served as secretary of St. Paul's Ladies Aid for many years. She was united in marriage to Frank Pearson on September 23, 1930, at St. Paul's. To this union one daughter, Marjorie, was born. Hulda attended public schools in Fillmore County. She was confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church south of Grafton, where she continued her membership and was organist for 13 years. She also served as secretary of St. Paul's Ladies Aid for many years. She was united in marriage to Frank Pearson on September 23, 1930, at St. Paul's. To this union one daughter, Marjorie, was born. In 1956 they transferred their membership to Zion Lutheran Church in Shickley and there she remained a faithful member until her death. She was also a member of Zion Ladies Aid. Most of her life was spent on the farm in Fillmore County until they retired to Sutton in 1969. Her husband preceded her in death on February 2, 1978. She resided in the Sutton Community Home since May 1, 1984. She passed away September 7, 1985, at the Sutton Community Home at Sutton at the age of 91 years. She leaves to mourn her departure, her daughter, Marjorie McHarness and husband, Frank; granddaughters, Julie and Laurie, all of North Platte. She also leaves three sisters, Mabel Witte, Marvel Bohlen and Edna Witte of Grafton; and one brother, George of Sutton; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday, September 9, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Shickley. Burial was at the Grafton Cemetery. The Nebraska Signal September 19th, 1985 page 5.
