Read More	MRS. E. O.JOHNSON RECEIVES SUDDEN SUMMONS AT HOME Resident Of Union County, S. D., Since 1909 Funeral Held Monday The sudden and unexpected death of Mrs. Edward 0. Johnson at her home, southwest of town, in Union county, S. D., last Thursday afternoon, April 3, 1941, came as a grievous shock to both family and friends. Mrs. Johnson had been suffering from an injury to her limb, caused by a fall a few weeks ago, and was just getting able to walk again when she was suddenly stricken with an embolism and passed away before anything could be done for her relief. She attained the age of 63 years, 9 months, 12 days. Inga Peterson Rodvold was one of eleven children born to Peter and Margaret Rodvold at Orlandet, Norway, June 21, 1887. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Norway, and at the age of sixteen years she, with an older sister, Anna, came to America, arriving at Beresford, S. D., that same year and making her residence in this section of the state. On January C, 1909, she was united in marriage with Edward 0. Johnson at Sioux City, Iowa, and they made their home on the Johnson farm, twelve miles north of Elk Point, S. D. To this union were born two children, who, together with the husband, now mourn the sudden departure of a loving mother and wife. With her marriage to Mr. Johnson, she became a member of the St. Paul Lutheran church, of Union county, and had served as an active member of the Ladies' Aid until her death. Those who survive and mourn the passing of Mrs. Johnson are: The husband, Edward 0. Johnson; one daughter, Hilma, and a son, Orville, both at home; three sisters in Norway, Marie, Johanna and Laura, residing near Tronhjem; two sisters in America Mrs. Fred Larkin, of Vermillion, S. D., and Mrs. John Raymer, of Minneapolis, Minn.; one brother, Peter Rodvold, of Somers, Mont.; besides many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Her father and mother, two brothers and one sister in Norway, and one brother in America, preceded her in death. A woman of lovable traits of character, Mrs. Johnson was held in high esteem by all who knew her, and a host of friends tender their sympathy to the bereaved husband, children, sisters and brother. She will be greatly missed in the community where she had lived so many years. Funeral services were held on Monday, at 2 p. in. at the home and at 3 p. m, in the St. Paul Lutheran church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. I. Aamoth. Interment was in the church cemetery.
