Description	:	Miss Irene Dooley, 81 a native of Atchison County, died at 11 a.m. yesterday at the home of a niece, Mrs. Catherine Lawless Remmert, in Birmingham, Ala. In failing health since last April, Miss Dooley moved to Birmingham from Cleveland, Ohio, last June to make her home with Mrs. Remmert. She had lived most of her life in Cleveland. In failing health since last April, Miss Dooley moved to Birmingham from Cleveland, Ohio, last June to make her home with Mrs. Remmert. She had lived most of her life in Cleveland. The rosary will be said at 7;30 o'clock tonight at Harouff-Arensberg Mortuary where the family will receive friends from 7 until 8;30 p.m. Born March 19, 1892, at Good, Intent, Miss Dooley was a daughter of the late James and Catherine Hurley Dooley. She was the youngest of 14 children in the family. She attended school at Good Intent and was graduated from Mount St. Scholastica Academy, following which she lived with her mother at Good Intent until her death in 1925. Following her mother's death, Miss Dooley went to Washington D. C ., where she entered civil service work and was employed by the U. S. Navy there briefly before being transferred to a secretarial position with the Navy at Cleveland. She retired in 1900 and continued to make her home in Cleveland until her health failed. Miss Dooley who was a sister of the ate Mother Lucy Dooley, who was prioress of Mount St. Scholastica Convent for many years and previous to that a teacher and principal St. Louis college, early day Catholic parochial school here, made annual trips to Atchison to visit relatives. Her last visit here was in 1971. Miss Dooley was a member of the Third Order of St. Francis, a Catholic society. Only immediate survivor is a sister, Mrs. Roger Finnigan, 1424 Commercial street. There are a number of other nieces and nephews besides Mrs. Remmert, many of whom live in the Atchison area. Atchison Globe, Thursday, September 13, 1973
