Description	:	Funeral services for Isaac Milton Overman, 60, a lifelong resident of Villisca, were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Pittman Funeral Home, with the Rev. W. F. Clayburg, pastor of the Methodist Church in charge. Burial was in the Villisca Cemetery. Mr. Overman died at 6 a.m. Thursday of last week at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edwin Northup, in Lamoni, Iowa, his death resulting from a throat ailment. Mr. Overman died at 6 a.m. Thursday of last week at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edwin Northup, in Lamoni, Iowa, his death resulting from a throat ailment. He had been taken to his daughter’s home the previous Monday from Iowa City where he had been for medical care. The body was brought Thursday to the Pittman Funeral Home here where it was prepared for burial and remained until after the last rites. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Davie sang at the services, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Davie. Pall bearers were George Winter, John Darlin, George Davie, A. J. Wertman, H. N. McGee, and S. P. Moore. Mr. Overman was born near Villisca, November 24, 1875 and spent his entire lifetime in this vicinity. In 1894, he was married to Grace Melarkey and two them was born one daughter, Mrs. Helen Roberts of Kansas City, Missouri. In 1907 the deceased was married to Lisa Coy, who preceded him in death three years ago. to this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Mamie Violet Northup of Lamoni, Iowa. Besides his daughter, Mr. Overman leaves three brothers, Elijah a. Overman, and Demsey Overman of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Cary B. Overman of Villisca; one sister, Mamie Boorse of Colcord, Oklahoma; two grandchildren; one step son Roy Coy of Villisca, and two step grandchildren.
