Overman 69, who died Thursday at the Murphy Memorial Hospital in Red Oak. Burial was made in the Villisca Cemetery. The Rev. Wm. B. Stanley was in charge of the final rites. Moore, and Wilbur Lewis. Cary Borter Overman better known as “Kittle Overman,” was born in Villisca, November 7, 1869. He was the son of Joseph and Mary Overman. He married Minnie Ratliff of Villisca, July 22, 1902, at Corning and to this union were born six children. He is survived by his wife and five children, Mrs. Hazel Johnston of Boone, Iowa, Mrs. Myrtle Young of Des Moines, Ronald and Clarence of Villisca, and Lucille at home. Mrs. Johnston and Mrs. Young were here for the funeral. One son, Donald died at the age of 18 months. Mr. Overman is also survived by two brothers, E. A. and D. Overman, a sister, Mamie Boorse of Concord, Oklahoma, 13 grandchildren and two nieces. He had been in poor health for several years, but his condition did not become serious until Tuesday of last week, when he rushed to the hospital at Ref Oak, Iowa.
