When he was four years old, he accompanied his family to the United States, and after living for fifteen years in Iowa County, Wisconsin, moved with them to Kansas. In 1870, his parents homesteaded in the Solomon Valley near Glasco, and after their deaths Mr. Halderson continued to care for the homeplace until his retirement from active farming. Halderson was born at Valders, near Chrstiana, Norway, on May 20, 1850. When he was four years old, he accompanied his family to the United States, and after living for fifteen years in Iowa County, Wisconsin, moved with them to Kansas. In 1870, his parents homesteaded in the Solomon Valley near Glasco, and after their deaths Mr. Halderson continued to care for the homeplace until his retirement from active farming. Since then he has lived in Glasco. Mr. Halderson died on July 10, 1935, at the age of eighty- five years, one month and twenty days. he is the last of his immediate family, but he leaves nephews and nieces, and other relatives besides many acquaintances who will miss his friendly presence. He was baptized and confirmed into the Evangelical Lutheran Church, and at the time of his death was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Glasco. Funeral services were conducted at the Lutheran Church on Friday afternoon by Rev. Search. Interment was made in the Glasco cemetery.
