Description	:	James Allan Thimm, 25 July 10, 1959 ~ April, 1985 James was born to "Junior" Thimm and his wife on July 10, 1959. Shortly after birth, his mother became too ill to care for him. She went to a hospital, and passed away several years later. Carl and Hilda Schmidt welcomed James into their home and their hearts, and raised him. Read More	James Allan Thimm, 25 July 10, 1959 ~ April, 1985 James was born to "Junior" Thimm and his wife on July 10, 1959. Shortly after birth, his mother became too ill to care for him. She went to a hospital, and passed away several years later. Carl and Hilda Schmidt welcomed James into their home and their hearts, and raised him. During his childhood, he attended the Beatrice Mennonite Church with his foster parents and his father. His parents and father were active, friendly members of the church, and James was a part of this. However, sometime in his late teens, James became friends with other people, and finally left the Beatrice area to join a survivalist, anti-Semitic, thieving cult. In Spring of 1985, James decided to turn away from the cult, and leave their Rulo, Nebraska farm hideout. The cult murdered him cruelly for that courageous decision. The inscription "Schmidt-Thimm" on his stone honors the Schimidt family, who cared for him as a son during and after his earthly life. The inscription "By grace are you saved through faith" on his stone reminds us that Christ Jesus paid the penalty for all of our sins through His own death. When we put faith in Christ, we too are saved, and expect to meet James again in eternity. James left many to mourn his death. May we all turn from our own ways, and put our faith in Christ, who stands willing and able to forgive.
