Description	:	James A. Comer of Darlington died Jan. 21 at his home. He was 83. Mr. Comer was born in Troutdale, Va., July 15, 1917, the youngest of 14 children of the late Joseph Flem and Myrtle Cedella Kegley Comer. A resident of Harford County since 1939, he was a farmer, having worked on various farms throughout Harford County. He also drove a truck for Schaefer, Inc., in Aberdeen for many years. Mr. Comer was born in Troutdale, Va., July 15, 1917, the youngest of 14 children of the late Joseph Flem and Myrtle Cedella Kegley Comer. He is survived by three daughters, Arbutus Hilton of Columbia, Ky., Stella Miller of Darlington and Louise Dowell of Churchville, two sons, Harvey Comer of Street and Marvin Comer of Street; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. He was the husband of the late Nola May Ball Comer, who died Dec. 19, 1995. Funeral services will be held at noon today (Wednesday) at Harkins Funeral Home in Delta, Pa. The Rev. Duane Mullins of the Church of God Prophecy in Rising Sun will officiate. Interment will be Bel Air Memorial Gardens in Bel Air. A viewing was held Tuesday at the funeral home. A viewing will also be held today (Wednesday) from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Martin Comer, Dean Dowell, Charles Dowell, Mark Ball, David Coblentz, and Kenneth Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be the granddaughters, Peggy Belcher, Susie Comer, Leona Hill, Rita Coblentz, Debbie Randow and Eva Benjamin. Published in The Aegis; Wed., Jan. 24, 2001.
