Dale Kelley conducted the 10:00 a.m. service. Interment was held in the McGuire Bend Cemetery. Arrangements were completed by the Hanson, Stark, Welin Funeral Home at Stratford. Bearers were Jerry Clausen, Rex Silvey, Kevin Hoshaw, Randy Hoshaw, Larry Iles, and Mike Hoshaw. Ushers were Jess Osborn and J. D. Iles. James Harvey Hoshaw was born on November 5, 1902 at Lehigh. He was the son of Jacob Henry and Emma (Ewing) Hoshaw. He married Pearl Neese on December 21, 1927 in Webster City. He was a carpenter in Stratford until retiring in 1967. Survivors include his wife, Pearl, Stratford; sons, Francis and Roger Hoshaw, Stratford; Dean Hoshaw, Humble, Texas; Gary Hoshaw, Des Moines; Bill Hoshaw, Anniheim, Calif; three daughters, Shirley Clausen, Bouton; Maxine Silvey and Carolyn Iles, Stratford; brother, Orva Hoshaw, Webster City; two sisters, Jennie Porter, Fort Dodge and Jessie DeLaney, Waterloo; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
