The burial was in the Malvern Cemetery. James Thomas Kelso was born in Holt County, Missouri May 5, 1860. He was united in marriage to Laura Ann Miller at Forrest City, Missouri in 1883. they spent 18 years in Missouri before moving to the vicinity of Tabor. Twenty-one years ago they moved to Malvern and since the death of Mrs. Kelso in 1937, he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Cora Hardy. He passed away at the home of her daughter September 4, 1946 at the age of 86 years and 4 months. He leaves to mourn his loss seven children, Mrs. Cora Hardy, Mrs. Lena Rock, and Paul Kelso of Malvern, William Kelso of Council Bluffs, Mable Shippey of Tabor, and Mrs. Emily Biggerstaff of Fresno, California. Five children preceded him in death. He also leaves to mourn his departure one brother of Brook, nebraska and one sister, Mrs. Anna Foster of Rock Poet, Missouri as well as a number of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
