Description	:	Jane Claude was one of four daughters born to Julian C Claude and Julia Bohy Claude. The known children are Emily S. Claude (1851-1939), Jane Claude (Frank) Beshey (1853-1940), Caroline J Claude (1857-1863), Marie J. "Mollie" Claude (Lyman) Middleton (1861-1942). Jane married in Illinois and lived near her parents. Her parents moved to Woolstock, Wright, Iowa around 1880. Her sister Caroline had died as a child and was buried in Illinois. The extended family all moved to the Woolstock area. Her sister Emily also moved to Woolstock with her husband Henry Claude. Her mother was a Bohy and her uncle Adolph Bohy also moved to Woolstock. They had all moved from France to Illinois and then to Iowa. The family always lived near each other in Woolstock. According to Marriages and Baptisms 1865-1900 Performed at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk, De Kalb County, Illinois. The Groom was Franciscum Beshey and the bride was Joannem Claude who married on January 12, 1872. Frank and Jane had eleven children. Three of the children died as infants. Jane helped with the farm and was said to have a keen eye for expanding the farming business. Jane and Frank would accumulate eight farms so that they could give each of their children a farm. Their daughter, Ada died in 1912 and they raised her two children, Hazel and Kenneth Boughton. Jane was extremely close to her family and her parents lived near her farm until their deaths. After Frank passed away, Jane married Albert Banks on June 3, 1925. Albert had been a family friend who was living with the Beshey family in the 1895 Iowa Census Albert Banks is the son of Charles Banks and Althea Spinney Banks. Jane and Albert lived in Eagle Grove until Jane died in 1940.
