Description	:	Jane Mosher, age 84, of Riceville, Iowa passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2020 at the United Methodist Church in Riceville, Iowa with the Rev. Donna Ihns and Pastor Paula Hemann officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Riceville. The family will greet relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Lindstrom Funeral Home, in Riceville and again one hour prior to services on Monday at the church. Jane Marie Mosher was born on May 2, 1936, in Rockford, Ia. to Ida Rose “Tumilson” Roberts and Gilbert “Gib” Harry Roberts. She was the 2nd of three children born to her parents. Jane spent her school years in Rockford and graduated as class valedictorian in 1953. Jane was united in marriage to Harvey Eugene Mosher on March 9, 1958, at the United Methodist Church in Rockford. They became the proud parents of two boys Kerry Russell Mosher and Kyle Webster Mosher. In 1964 they moved to Riceville to join Harvey’s father in business. Jane started working for the school district in 1964, and in 1966 she went to work for the 1st State Bank. From that hire she spent the next 40 plus years working within the Riceville banking community retiring from the First Security Bank. Jane loved Riceville and was heavily involved in the community. She served on the Board of the Riceville Community Rest Home for 18 years. She was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church where she served as the treasurer and played piano for many years. For anyone who knew her well, knew she was a staunch Democrat and loved to debate politics. She had a beautiful smile and infectious laugh, she loved her family, her Irish heritage and cherished her friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Harvey, her children, Kerry (Sharon) Mosher of Ellisville, MO., Kyle (Kathy) Mosher of Mason City, IA. five grandkids Adam (Jane) Mosher, Andy Mosher of Fort Mill, SC., Josh (Courtny) Beals, Justin (Jenny) Beals of Mason City, IA, Domi (Logan) Linkenmeyer of Clear Lake IA. seven great grandkids; Harper Jane, Cohen, Morgan, Ethan, Lucas, Kylie and Tucker and one Great, Great Grandchild Charlotte, and her two brothers; Frank Roberts of Fresno, CA and Bob Roberts of Sherwood, ND. Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Gib and Ida Roberts; Sisters-in-law: Gwen and Elaine Roberts, Donna Mosher, and Brother-in-law Willis Mosher. The family wishes to thank the staff and caregivers of the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital as well as the North Iowa Hospice for the kindness, love and care given to Jane.
