Dr. J. J. Dimon officiating, when Miss Jean Stirling Cruickshanks, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Cruickshanks, became the bride of Mr. James Bernard Jones. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of green chiffon, brocaded in tan chenille velvet, and a large picture hat of tan faced in gold, and carried an arm bouquet of white Killarney roses and lilies of the valley. The maid of honor, her sister, Miss Alice C. Cruickshanks, wore a gown of grape satin crepe trimmed in tan and a large picture hate of black lace and carried an arm bouquet of pink Columbia roses. Miss Charlotte L. Berry, bridesmaid, wore a gown of golden brown satin crepe trimmed in tan and a toque of tan and brown and carried an arm bouquet of butterfly roses. Mr. Charles Rubert Jones, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and the ushers were: Mr. Carroll V. Jones of Olney, Md., cousin of the bridegroom; Mr. Arthur B. McNerney, Mr. Louis D. Bell of Laytonsville, Md., Mr. Stuart G. Cruickshanks, brother of the bride. Mrs. Arthur B. McNerney was at the organ, and Mr. George H. Lambert sang "At Dawning" and "Oh Promise Me". There were a number of out-of-town guests, among whom were: Mr. William L. Jones of Germantown, Md., father of the bridegroom; Mr. and Mrs. Slagle Dorsey of Germantown, Md., Mrs. Andrew Warren, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jarvis and their son of Richmond, Va.; Mrs. F. Ward of Syracuse, N.Y., and Mrs. Jean Morton Norman, Miss Lucy Cruickshanks and Mr. James S. Cruickshanks of New York City, cousins of the bride. After an extended motor trip through the New England states, Mr. and Mrs. Jones will make their home in Washington.
