Read More	Obituary: Feb. 15, 1952 - Centralia, WA "Daily Chronicle" Illness Fatal for Mrs. Hoss Death came Thursday afternoon to Mrs. Jennie M. Hoss, 82, in a Centralia hospital following a long period of ill health. Mrs. Hoss, widow of the late Theodore Hoss, who succumbed in 1947, was widely known in the city and for many years was exceptionally active in civic and social organizations. She was born Sept. 22, 1869 in Lansing, Mich. and came to Centralia in 1889. The family home in recent years was at 301 South Silver street. The deceased was a member of the Methodist church, of the Ladies of the GAR, of which she was a past department president, and of the Southwest Washington Pioneer Association. She was especially active in Red Cross work during World War I and was a member of the Minute Women, a patriotic organization started in Centralia and which ultimately spread over the state. She was one of the organizers of the Centralia Women's Civic club and was active in the Centralia Music club. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Leona McDowell, and Mrs. May Knevedge, both of Centralia, and Mrs. Vera McLeod, Seattle; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Sticklins Centralia Chapel. The Rev. Charles T. Hatten will officiate and interment will be in Mountain View.
