Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Mr. Stanley died Sunday night at Hoots Memorial Hospital in Yadkinville after a long illness. He was born July 31, 1902, in Surry County, to Sexton and Virginia Childress Stanley. He was a retired farmer and member of Bear Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters, Jewell Boyd and Joyce Stanley, both of Dobson,Rt. 2; a son, Ronald Ray Stanley of Dobson, Rt 4, a sister Mrs Woodrow Coe, Dobson, Rt. 2; brothers, Roy Stanley, Dobson, Rt. 3, Sidney Stanley of Ramseur; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
