Henry Moeller, was held Monday afternoon, March 25. Short services were held first at the family home northwest of Hooper, and were attended by many friends and neighbors. Afterwards the funeral proper was held at the St. John's Lutheran church, northwest of Hooper, and in spite of the cold weather of the day was very largely attended. The pastor, Rev. Theo. Norden conducted the services, preaching in both the English and German languages. After the church services, the body was tenderly borne to the church cemetery and there consigned to its last resting place. Mrs. Moeller's death occurred at 1:30 last Friday afternoon, March 23, 1928, and was attributed to pneumonia and complications. She had been in failing health practically all winter but it was not until about two weeks before death that her condition became serious, and from then on she rapidly declined until the end. At the time of her death she had attained the age of 64 years, 5 months and 24 days. Her maiden name was Johanna Busch, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Busch, deceased, and pioneer settlers of the Fontanelle locality where she was born on September 29, 1863. She was baptized by Rev. E. Frese, sr., and received her Christian training and was confirmed by him in the St. John Church when it was located on the Busch farm north of Hooper. On March 15, 1889, she was united in marriage to C. Henry Moeller. To this union seven children were born, two sons passing away in infancy. The surviving children are Alfred, Emil, George, Henry and Mrs. Oscar Siebrass, all of this locality and who with the father, have the sincere sympathy of friends in the loss of their beloved mother and wife. A brother, Henry Busch, also survives her. Mrs. Moeller was a quiet, unassuming woman, much loved by those who knew her best. Her home and her family were her greatest interests in life. She always had a kind word for every one and she was glad to be of service to anyone, and her death was a cause of much regret among her many friends.
