He married Augusta Larsen in 1892 in Union County. He lived in Sioux City nine years and in Wisconsin 30 years before returning to Union County after the death of his wife in 1948. Survivors besides his daughter are three sons, William of Eau Claire, WI, Elmer of Chicago, and John, west of Akron.
