Description	:	John B. Johnson, aged 82 years, passed away Monday evening, March 1, 1926 at Vassar, Kansas at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman Poertner. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were pioneers of Saline county. They lived on a farm four and one-half miles east of Crete for over thirty-five years. About five years ago they moved to Akron, Colorado and lived there about four years. Read More	John B. Johnson, aged 82 years, passed away Monday evening, March 1, 1926 at Vassar, Kansas at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Herman Poertner. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson were pioneers of Saline county. They lived on a farm four and one-half miles east of Crete for over thirty-five years. About five years ago they moved to Akron, Colorado and lived there about four years. Last summer they returned to Crete and visited relatives for a while before going to Vassar where they have since made their home with their daughter. Mr. Johnson had been failing in health the past five years and last Saturday suffered a stroke of paralysis. The remains were brought to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dittmer near Kramer yesterday. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 today at the Dittmer home and at the German Lutheran church at 2 o'clock by Rev. Albert Cholcher. Interment in the cemetery near Kramer. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and six sons: Mrs. Herman Reiss of Crete, Mrs. Herman Poertner of Vassar, Kansas, John and Henry Johnson of Vassar, Herman, Willie, Fred, and George Johnson of Akron, Colorado, and one brother, Harm Johnson and a sister, Mrs. R.
