Description	:	SWAILS, JOHN CHARLES—John Charles Swails died at his home in Geneva, Neb., Sunday, August 1, 1926, aged 66 years, 10 months and 19 days. Mr. Swails was born September 12, 1859, near Acton, Ind. He was married to Flora E. Roles, October 6, 1881. To this union eight children were born, the following four surviving: Lonnie O., Pearl, Creston, and Goldie. Four of the children are deceased: Albert, Venda, Jesse, and Grace. Mr. Swails was born September 12, 1859, near Acton, Ind. He was married to Flora E. Roles, October 6, 1881. To this union eight children were born, the following four surviving: Lonnie O., Pearl, Creston, and Goldie. Four of the children are deceased: Albert, Venda, Jesse, and Grace. There are two grandchildren, Forrest and Marguerite Swails. Mrs. Swails also survives her husband. Mr. Swails is survived by his mother, Mrs. Louisa J. Swails of Wathena, Kas., aged ninety years, and the following sister and brothers: Mrs. A. J. White, St Joseph, Mo.; W. O. Swails, Edmond, Okla.; E. D. Swails, Clarksdale, Mo., I .F. Swails, Potter, Ark. The sister and brothers attended the funeral with the exception of I. F. Swails. Mr. Swails moved to Missouri with his father in 1866, living there until he permanently moved to Nebraska in 1883, having resided near or in Geneva most of the time since then. He was baptized in the new Hope Baptist church in DeKalb county, Mo., in 1882, later transferring to the Christian church in Geneva. He was stricken with paralysis August 3, 1923. He was in poor health for three years. Mr. Swails took an active interest in public affairs and he was an esteemed and useful citizen. He had the sympathy and kindly interest of a wide circle of friends during his long illness. The funeral took place from the family residence in Geneva at 10:30 a. m. yesterday and was conducted by Rev. J. L. Lemmon of the Christian church; internment was in the Geneva cemetery.
