Description	:	John was the son of Johann Fridolin Jagge & Franziska Jagge. He married Adaline Garwick on September 10, 1861 in Monroe Michigan. They were the parents of Aloysius, Anthony, Frank, Jacob, John, Louise, Henry, Ida, Benjamin, Adeline, Fredrick, & Loretta. Dec 8, 1903 - Carroll Sentinel - J.F. Yegge, an old resident of this county, died at his home in the Fourth ward ward Friday morning about 11 o'clock. He had been on the decline for several years and for the benefit of his health spent a winter in California a couple of years ago. This fall he visited for a time with a son in the Ozark mountains, but came home unimproved. Shortly before his death a neighbor called at the Yegge home and after he left Mr. Yegge started with the coal bucket for coal. Not returning as soon as he should Mrs. Yegge went out and found him cold and lifeless, evidently stricken with heart disease. Deceased was born in Switzerland seventy-one years ago, coming to America when a young man. He was an expert brick maker and established the first brick yard in Boone county where two of his sons are still in the business. Nineteen years ago he became a resident of Carroll county and until a few years ago lived a few miles northwest of town, since then being a resident of this city. Besides a wife he leaves eight children, all grown. They are: Alois, who lives in Missouri, Mrs. Wm. McCoy of Minnesota, John and Jacob of Boone, Albert and Fred, north and west of town, Addie of Sioux City, and Ida, who lives, at home. All were present at the funeral except the two former. The funeral was held yesterday morning at St. Joseph's church, being attended by many of his old friends and neighbors, who will greatly miss this kindly old gentleman, who was highly respected and esteemed by all who knew him.
