Description	:	John Henry Franklin was born about 1810, in New York, to Thomas Franklin (abt 1770- abt 1845) and Hannah Sibley. The Franklin family left New York in the early 1800's and settled in Warren County, Ohio for at least 11 years. John met and married Sarah Chenoweth, a daughter of William S. Chenoweth (1760-1838) and Catherine Rinker (1765-1810). John and Sarah married on 27 March 1830 in Warren County. The Franklin family left New York in the early 1800's and settled in Warren County, Ohio for at least 11 years. John met and married Sarah Chenoweth, a daughter of William S. Chenoweth (1760-1838) and Catherine Rinker (1765-1810). John and Sarah married on 27 March 1830 in Warren County. His father Thomas and family moved to Allen County in 1831, and John Henry and Sarah followed. The Franklins were farmers, and many remained in Allen County until the 1850's, when half of the children of Thomas and Hannah went to Hendricks Co. Indiana. However, John Henry and Sarah remained in Allen Co. At least 12 children were born to John Henry and Sarah. Some of them were: Hannah, William, John, Amos, Sarah, Nancy, Mary, James, and Joseph. There were at least two more children born, who may have been named Reuben and Luella. Both John Henry and Sarah died in Allen County. John died in 1875, and Sarah died 1873.
