Description	:	John N. Crawford died very suddenly at his home on Hanover Street Saturday afternoon at the age of 68 years. Mr. Crawford had been in failing health for several years. Mr. Crawford was born May 31, 1862, on a farm near New Baltimore, Ohio, the son of John A. and Phoebe McHenry Crawford, the youngest of five children. At the early age of six years, he moved with the family to a farm three miles west of Hamilton where in later years he carried on the occupation of farming. Mr. Crawford had been in failing health for several years. Mr. Crawford was born May 31, 1862, on a farm near New Baltimore, Ohio, the son of John A. and Phoebe McHenry Crawford, the youngest of five children. At the early age of six years, he moved with the family to a farm three miles west of Hamilton where in later years he carried on the occupation of farming. Eleven years ago, Mr. Crawford moved with his family to Hamilton where he led a retired life. On March 4, 1889, he was united in marriage with Lena Mehl and the couple had three children, one daughter Madge, and two sons Royal J. and Wesley. The youngest son Wesley preceded the father in death on January 31, 1912 and the daughter Madge on April 2, 1919. Mr. Crawford was of likable disposition ad won and retained many friends who will be grieved at his passing. He is survived by the widow, Lena, the son, Royal, two sisters, Mrs. Nathan Bryant of Selkirk and Mrs. Mary Bearman, of Johnson, Kansas and many other friends and relatives. A coincidence in connection with his death is the fact that exactly two years ago on the same date and at the same hour a brother, Joseph, passed away. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery. The pall bearers will be Paul R. Crawford, Joe. B. Crawford, John DeLaCroix, Clarence DeLaCroix, Richard DelaCroix and Ralph Bryant, all nephews of the deceased. - Hamilton Evening Journal Monday, April 20, 1931
