The many friends of the family trust his trouble will be only temporary and that he will soon be able to be about again. ******* Stratford Courier September 9, 1920 OBITUARY Andrews John Paul Andrews was born Jan. 22, 1861 at Buffalo, New York. With his parents he moved to Webster county during the year 1866. In 1871 he moved to Hamilton county locating in the East Marion neighborhood and made his home there until his death which occurred on August 31, 1920. He was 59 years, 7 months and 9 days old on the day of his passing. He was united in marriage in 1884 at Boone to Miss Hattie Johnson. To them four children were born. They are Charley, Rudy and Olive, all of this place, and Cora (Mrs. Sam Carlson) of Ogden. He leaves them to mourn his early passing besides his wife, two grandchildren, four sisters and a host of relatives and friends. A week before his death while going about his daily duties on the farm he was suddenly stricken down with paralysis. He lingered throughout the week but did not regain any of his lost strength. He had for some years been seriously troubled with asthma and on the day on which he was stricken had intended starting for New Mexico for the benefit of his health. He was a man who was well known and highly respected all over this section of the county and the news of his death came as a personal shock to all. The funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon from the home in charge of Rev. C.G. Bengtson and the remains interred in South Marion cemetery.
