Osceola Sentinel, Osceola, Iowa November 14, 1974, Page 12 John Jones Dies Monday Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 14, for John William Jones, 44, who died Monday, November 11, at the home of his parents in Osceola. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. by Pastor Charles Dye of Lincoln, Nebraska and Pastor Jerry Chapman of Creston and the American Legion Post No. 69 of Osceola, at the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial is in Maple Hill Cemetery. John William Jones was born October 16, 1930 in Clarke County to Albert E. Jones and Lena McVey Jones. He got his education from Clarke County and Oak Park Academy in Nevada, Iowa. On October 21, 1964 he was married to Margo Baker in Des Moines and to this union six children were born. John resided in Florida until the last three years which he spent in Clarke county employed as a truck driver. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy and was affiliated with the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Survivors include his wife, Margo of Osceola; six children, Michael, Gail Ann, Harold, John, and twin sons, Albert and Edward, all of Osceola; parents, Albert and Lena Jones of Osceola; grandmother, Fannie Jones; one sister, Ruby Kane, Chula Vista, California; five brothers, Clifford Jones, Van Wert, Morris Jones, Hastings, Nebraska; Eugene Jones, Des Moines, Leonard Jones, Weldon and David Jones, Osceola; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Jones, Welch, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky, in infancy and brother, Donald Jones. Transcribed as published by Karen Brewer. Note: Contributor LilDzel, #48982695 suggested...
