Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Shelton Methodist Church by the Rev. George Schwabauer. Burial will be in the Shelton Cemetery. Mr. Godfrey was born May 25, 1866, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to David and Angeline Godfrey. He came to Nebraska at the age of 20 and farmed on Elm Island, south of Shelton. Mr. Godfrey was born May 25, 1866, in Fort Wayne, Ind., to David and Angeline Godfrey. He came to Nebraska at the age of 20 and farmed on Elm Island, south of Shelton. He and Rosa Houtz were married Feb. 19, 1890, at Kenesaw. They farmed in the Kenesaw, Shelton, Gibbon and Lowell communities until their retirement in 1941, when they moved to the present family home in Shelton. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1940 and had been married 63 years at the time of Mr. Godfrey's death. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Mrs. Herb Worman, Sutherland, Ore., and Mrs. John Buso, Shelton; and a son, Elbert Godfrey, Wilbur, Ore. Friends may call Friday evening from 7-9 o'clock at the Miller Godberson Funeral Home in Shelton.
