He came to Topeka in 1954. He was a Navy veteran. He was employed by the State of Kansas as a printer. He was a member of First Christian Church, where he served as an elder and was involved in the senior luncheons at the church. He married Lois J. Moore on June 21, 1953, in Essex, Iowa. Crowder-Boltz, Whiting; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Judy Taylor, Spencer, Iowa. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Crowder will lie in state after 1 p.m . Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Hospice Care, 200 S.W.
