Description	:	Joseph Rufus Ridnour (From the Adams County Free Press, Thursday, March 3, 1960 [page 4]) Joseph Rufus Ridnour, son of Rufus and Katherine Mauderly Ridnour, was born in Page county, Iowa, June 11, 1896 and passed away at the Rosary Hospital in Corning on February 22, 1960 at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 11 days. Read More	Joseph Rufus Ridnour (From the Adams County Free Press, Thursday, March 3, 1960 [page 4]) Joseph Rufus Ridnour, son of Rufus and Katherine Mauderly Ridnour, was born in Page county, Iowa, June 11, 1896 and passed away at the Rosary Hospital in Corning on February 22, 1960 at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 11 days. He moved with his parents to the home place north of Nodaway when a small child, where he lived with the exception of 5 years, until his marriage. They have made their home in the Guss vicinity for some 81 years. He was united in marriage to Delphia Means April 2, 1916. To this union three daughters were born. Evelyn Roberts and Ruth Lynam of Corning and Lois Mitchell of Brooks. He is also survived by three sons-in-law and sixteen grandchildren, all of whom he dearly loved. He is also survived by two sisters, Florence Haley of Nodaway and Lottie Inman of Corning, a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives, friends and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother who died in infancy. He was always happiest when he had some of his children and grandchildren around him. He loved to hunt and fish and has gone on to the happy hunting grounds in Heaven above. Services were held Friday, February 26, 1960 at 1:30 p.m. from the Roland Funeral Home in Corning with Rev. Brown Garlock officiating. Music was by Mrs. Brown Garlock and Mrs. Eva Elmore. Pallbearers were Delmar Haley, Jim Haley, Cliff Palmer, Calvin Haley, Lloyd Travis and Walter Veatch.
