Read More	Son of George Albright of Fredricton, New Brunswick, Canada and Emeline Golder of Fredricton, New Brunswick, Canada. ~~~ JUDSON ALBRIGHT.--A capable and efficient man who is worthy of the esteem accorded him by his many acquaintances, is Judson Albright, chief engineer at the Chico State Normal. He was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, June 11, 1862. His father, George Albright, was of English descent and a native of Fredericton also, where he was a lumberman. His mother was Emeline (Golder) Albright. Both parents died at Fredericton. Of their family of seven only three are living. Judson the second youngest was raised on a farm near Fredericton and attended the public school. As a lad he learned lumbering, how to roll and drive the logs, etc. He followed farming during the summer and lumbering during the winter. Mr. Albright also had a natural aptitude for machinery. In 1888 Mr. Albright came to California and located in Chico. His brother, Chesley, ran a sawmill at Inskip, Butte County, and Mr. Albright worked in his mill for a time and then entered the employ of Walter Reed, where he had charge of the machinery during the almond-hulling season. He then put up a huller on the Bidwell Ranch, after which he entered the employ of General Bidwell, who placed him in charge of his machinery and warehouses; he remained with Bidwell from 1892 until his death, and then continued with Mrs. Bidwell until 1910, when the ranch was subdivided and sold, thus closing the warehouses. Mr. Albright then entered the employ of the Chico State Normal as chief engineer and janitor, a position he has filled acceptably ever since. He has been very reliable and steady and has made a splendid record. He has made two visits to New Brunswick since he came to California. Interested in horticulture, Mr. Albright owns a ten acre prune orchard two and a half miles north of Chico on the state highway. Always optimistic of the future of Chico, he bought his residence on the Esplanade, in Chico Vecino, where he resides with his wife and family. Mr. Albright was married in Chico to Miss Ruby Camper, who was born in Yuba County, the daughter of L.S. Camper, an old settler who crossed the plains in the early days. She is the sister of Professor Charles H. Camper. Four children have been born to them, three of whom are living: Velma, a student in the Chico High School; Lloyd, and Louella. Mr. Albright belongs to Chico Lodge, NO. 113, I.O.O.F., and to the Encampment. He and his wife are members of the Rebekahs. Mr. Albright is also a member of Great Oak Camp, No. 136, W.O.W., and his wife belongs to the Women of Woodcraft. He is a member of the First Methodist Church of Chico and was for some years a member of the official board. His politics are expressed in the principles of the Republican Party. Judson Albright, 68, chief engineer at the Chico State Teachers College, dropped dead in the wash room of the industrial arts department of the college at 2:45 this afternoon. "Albright went into the wash room to obtain a drink when he fell over and died with a few minutes. D.F. Jackey, head of the industrial arts department, and Gail Moore, instructor, were present when death came. "Albright was a native of New Brunswick and had been a resident of Chico since 1888. He had been connected with the college since 1910 and prior to that time was for many years an employee of the Bidwell ranch."
