Page 1 Mrs. Kate Reedy died of pneumonia at her home one-half mile north of Prairie Springs, Brown county, Jan., Sunday, February 2d, 1902. She was born in Pickaway county, Ohio, Jul 18, 1844, Aged 57 years, 7 months, 15 days. She was married to Laird Reedy May 21, 1863, by rev. S. W. Sibert. She was born in Pickaway county, Ohio, Jul 18, 1844, Aged 57 years, 7 months, 15 days. She was married to Laird Reedy May 21, 1863, by rev. S. W. Sibert. This making their married life 38 years, 8 months, 12 days. Mrs. Reedy was the mother of two children, Addie M. and Anna M. who survive her. Mrs. Reedy was sick but a few days. She was first taken with Lagrippe and gradually grew worse, finally terminated in pneumonia. She was a kind neighbor, a loving mother and companion. She loved the cause of Christ. Her last words were as she looked toward heaven, "They are coming." The funeral services were conducted at Prairie Springs school house by rev. E. L. Geyer. He took his text from Rev. 21:4. The attendance was good notwithstanding the severe cold weather. The remains were interred in the Hiawatha cemetery. The bereaved family have the sympathy of their many friends.
