Description	:	Katherine J. Davis Katherine J. Davis age 93, of Onalaska, passed away Aug. 3, 2013. She and her twin, Kenneth, were born July 8, 1920 in Rochester, Wash., to Edgar & Marie Orcutt. She attended school in Toledo, graduating in 1939 with two of her brothers. She met Elvin C. Davis at church and they were married Aug. 11, 1940. Read More	Katherine J. Davis Katherine J. Davis age 93, of Onalaska, passed away Aug. 3, 2013. She and her twin, Kenneth, were born July 8, 1920 in Rochester, Wash., to Edgar & Marie Orcutt. She attended school in Toledo, graduating in 1939 with two of her brothers. She met Elvin C. Davis at church and they were married Aug. 11, 1940. They lived in Onalaska from 1944 until Elvin's death in 1973. She continued living on the family farm until 2010. She spent the last few years in a Centralia Care Center. Katherine was a wonderful homemaker and mother. If she wasn't in the house cooking, she was in her yard gardening. Her apple pies could not be beat. She taught her children to be hard workers, resourceful adults. Her loves in life were her family, church, gardening, sewing & baking. She loved "Tea & Praise" and teaching Sunday School for numerous years. She made everyone feel welcome and loved. The Davis's raised five children and they all survive her. Janice (Jim) Shipman of Arlington, Nancy (Edward) Rhoades of Ephrata, Don (Mary) Davis of Winlock, Rod (Lisa) Davis of Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Diana (Sal) Trejo of Chehalis; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Clark Orcutt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by brothers, Lester, Kenneth and Bob and sisters: Amber, Ruby, Dorothy and Emily. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at the Onalaska Church of God. Family graveside services will be held earlier at Mt. View Cemetery, Centralia. Services are under the direction of Sticklin Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Sticklin Funeral Chapel, 1437 S. Gold St., Centralia, WA 98531. 360-736-1388.
