She was born Oct. 1, 1918, in Lisbon, Ohio, to Lawson and Viola Phillis Kenmuir. She graduated in 1940 from David Anderson High School in Lisbon, Ohio, and Beauty School in Cleveland, Ohio. She worked for 20 years at Bonferts Beauty Shoppe in Salem, Ohio, and then for the Church Budget Envelope Company from where she retired. She was born Oct. 1, 1918, in Lisbon, Ohio, to Lawson and Viola Phillis Kenmuir. She graduated in 1940 from David Anderson High School in Lisbon, Ohio, and Beauty School in Cleveland, Ohio. She worked for 20 years at Bonferts Beauty Shoppe in Salem, Ohio, and then for the Church Budget Envelope Company from where she retired. She lived for a time in Damascus, Ohio, but spent most of her life in Salem. Her last years were spent as a resident of Northfield Retirement Community in Northfield, Ohio. She was a member of the Salem First United Presbyterian Church. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing for her family. She loved gardening, taking special pride in her roses. She created many crafts and oil paintings. She particularly loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Lester Kenmuir, Lisbon; Lucile Heyn, of Newton Falls, Ohio, and Mildred Brantingham, Paw Paw, Mich. Early in her life she was married to Harvey Clever Cope and later to Wilson Crawford Brantingham. She leaves some precious memories to her children, Dell Cope (Eva Mae) of Bristolville, Diana Geis of Cuyahoga Falls and Pat Mazzolini (Mark) of Mentor, and her six grandchildren, Mike Cope of Bristolville, Mitch Cope (Debbie) of Cortland, Sarah Ridgway (Jason) of Baltimore, Tom Geis (Stacy), Elizabeth Mazzolini (Chad) of Rochester, and David Mazzolini of Chicago. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008, at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen Funeral Home 1617 East State St., Salem, Ohio 44460 (330-332-4401) with the Rev. Meta Cramer of the church officiating. Burial will follow the service in Historic Hope Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
