Kenneth Clifford Kimbrough, son of Claude J. and Lillian Kimbrough, was born at Geneva, Neb., December 26, 1914. Kenneth Clifford Kimbrough, son of Claude J. and Lillian Kimbrough, was born at Geneva, Neb., December 26, 1914. When he was a small boy the Kimbrough family moved to O’Neil, where they resided several years. When Kenneth was high school age, the family moved back to the home farm near Geneva and Kenneth graduated from high school in 1934. October 27, 1935, he was married to Viola Kleinschmidt. To this union were born three children, Sharon Kay (Mrs. William) Minich of Lincoln, Rodney Kenneth and Dennis Lee. Rodney passed away August 13, 1963. Shortly after their marriage the family moved to California, where Kenneth was employed in a market. About 18 years ago they returned to Geneva and engaged in farming and horse and cattle raising. Kenneth was always interested in the outdoors and particularly in horses. He was a member of the Geneva Methodist church and breeders and saddle clubs and was a 4-H leader. He was active in the Geneva Masonic lodge and held one of the high offices in the lodge this year. He took part in many other community activities. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Viola, his daughter and son, son-in-law, five grandchildren, his mother, Mrs. Lillian Kimbrough, two brothers, Francis and Don, all of Geneva, two sisters, Mrs. June Sutter of Red Cloud and Mrs. Wilma Girmus of Geneva, a number of nephews and nieces and many friends. Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church in Geneva at 2 p. m. Friday, April 26. The pastor, Rev. K. Orlando Lee conducted the services and Rev. Alden B. Sears, a former pastor, now of Omaha, gave the sermon. Barbara Eich sang “I’ll Walk With God” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” Willa Foster was organist. Pallbearers were Richard Kleinschmidt, James Kimbrough, William Kleinschmidt, Gary Kimbrough, Donald Kimbrough, Jr. and Robert Sutter Jr. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery, with the Geneva Masonic lodge in charge of the graveside service.
