Description	:	Laura Ione Spargur was born at New Market, Iowa, April 25, 1890. She was the daughter of Lousa Ann Overman and John Spargur, and started her schooling at Clarinda, moving later with her parents to Villisca where she finished school and was employed several years in The Review Office. When a young girl she was united with the First Christian Church in Villisca. November 11, 1908 she was united in marriage to Stanley C. Read More	Laura Ione Spargur was born at New Market, Iowa, April 25, 1890. She was the daughter of Lousa Ann Overman and John Spargur, and started her schooling at Clarinda, moving later with her parents to Villisca where she finished school and was employed several years in The Review Office. When a young girl she was united with the First Christian Church in Villisca. November 11, 1908 she was united in marriage to Stanley C. Ashmore ad to this union one son was born, Berwyn LeRoy Ashmore. A niece Norma Jean Hamilton made her home with the family from the time she was a small child. In August of 1930, Mrs. Ashmore and family moved from Villisca to Greenfield where she resided until her death. Besides her husband and son, she leaves her son’s wife, two grandsons, Lee Ellis and Lyn Starl Ashmore, her father, J. B. Spargur, who now lives in Villisca and four sisters, Msr. Ethel Cohoon, Mrs. Effie Neal, Mrs. Geroge Darold all of Villisca, Mrs. Rulo Hartenstein, Glenwood, two brothers, Merle Spargur, Omaha, and Irwin Spargur, Custer, South Dakota. Her mother preceded her in death in 1931. She married Staryl Cook Ashmore on November 11, 1909. She died on April 9, 1952, at the age of 61.
