Description	:	EFFIE NEAL BURIED Services for Effie M. Neal were held Friday, October 9, 1970 at 11:00 a.m. from the Advent Christian Church with Rev. Kenneth Dotson officiating. Pall bearers were Richard Farrens, Larry Neal, Dana Neal, Tom Bergren, Albert Kernen, and Ronald Nelson. Flower bearers were Mabel Williams and Ethel Matthaei. Music was by Frances Gray with "Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me" and "I Need The Every Hour" the selections. Elenor Shaver was in charge of the register. She spent most of her childhood in Villisca, Iowa. On February 22, 1913, she was married to Albert Neal in Creston, Iowa, by a Presbyterian minister. Mr. Neal preceded her in death in June 1968. They spent most of their married lives on farms near Villisca until February 1966, when they moved to Villisca. To this union was born nine children three boys, Dennis F., Robert Dean, James Albert, Jr., all of Villisca; and six girls, Luella A. Kernen of Villisca, Mary Ellen Warren of Eureka, Illinois, Betty Jean Larsen of Kearney, Nebraska, Ruth LaVaugh Nelson of Palisade, Nebraska, Lois Marie Bergren of Red Oak, Iowa, and Frances Irene who died at the age of one year. Effie was united with the Christian Church when 14 years of age and later transferred her membership to the Advent Christian Church. Also preceding her in death were four sisters, Laura Ione Ashmore, Ethel Verna Cohoon, Rulo Harenstein, and Georgia Helen Darnold. In addition to her children, survivors include two brothers, Merle Spargur of Omaha, Nebraska and Jerry Irvin Spargur of Hill City South Dakota, 24 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
