He was in his 73rd year. Mr Millar retired from the Civil Service in March 1968. He was born in Almonte, Ont. on July 13, 1902, the son of the late Mr and Mrs Wm Henry Millar (nee Mary Turner). On March 21st 1925, he married the former Teresa France. Besides his wife Teresa, he is survived by three sons, Delmar of Almonte, Leonard of Summerland, B.C., and Desmond of Guelph, Ont. and two daughters, Hazel (Mrs Sully Salem), Toronto, and Marion (Mrs Ed Kennedy), Ottawa; nineteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving is one brother John of Almonte. He was predeceased by another brother Delmar. The service was held at the Kerry Funeral Home, Friday, Oct 4 at 2 p.m. Rev Robert McCrea officiated. A Masonic Service was held on Thursday evening at 8 p.m. Interment was at Auld Kirk Cemetery. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Kim Mallar, Gregory and Brent Heddleston, and Paul, Shawn, and Michael Kennedy
