Rodgers, age 92, of West Satin Street, Jefferson, died early Thursday morning at the Jefferson Medical Associates, where she had been a resident the past two years. She was born April 22, 1913 in Howland Corners, Ohio, the daughter of the late Oney H. and Grace B. (French) Goff, and has been a resident of Ashtabula County most of her life. Rodgers, age 92, of West Satin Street, Jefferson, died early Thursday morning at the Jefferson Medical Associates, where she had been a resident the past two years. She was born April 22, 1913 in Howland Corners, Ohio, the daughter of the late Oney H. and Grace B. (French) Goff, and has been a resident of Ashtabula County most of her life. She was married to Glenn E. "Shorty" Rodgers on March 27, 1932, in Ripley, New York. Mrs. Rodgers worked for several years at the Ben Franklin Store in Jefferson. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, embroidering, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. Survivors include six children, Gaylord H. Rodgers, Rodney C. Rodgers, both of Jefferson, Glenn E. Rodgers of Pierpont Township, Glenna L. Hamilton of Ashtabula, Beverly A. Fertig, and Delores M. Miller, both of Jefferson; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Leonard Goff of Jefferson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, "Shorty" Rodgers in 1985; a daughter, Constance J. Rodgers-Post in 2003; two great-grandchildren, Chelsea Rodgers in 1997, and Andrew Obrenski in 2002; five brothers, Donald, Merle, Cecil, Duane, and Ralph Goff; and two sisters, Aline Goff, and Wilma Sabo. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2005, at the Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson Street, Jefferson, Ohio, with the Reverend Meredith Coleman and Lay Pastor, Gordon Emerson, both of the Jefferson United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 7-9 p.m., Sunday, June 5, 2005, at the Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio, 44004, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44120, envelopes will also be at the Funeral Home.
