Goff Sr., 75, of South Venice Blvd., died Wednesday, April 17, 1996, at the Integrated Health Services of Venice Nursing Facility, where he was a patient the past week. Born April 23, 1920, in Gustavus, he was the son of Oney and Grace (French) Goff. He lived in Jefferson most his life before moving to Florida 16 years ago. Mr. Goff was a retired truck driver for the Horner Box Co. He and his wife also owned and operated the M&M Barn in Jefferson for many years. He enjoyed playing cards and billiards. Survivors include his wife, the former Margie D. Powers, whom he married June 17, 1945; a son, Merle "Fuzzy" Goff Jr. of Jefferson; one grandson; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Duane, Cecil and Leonard Goff all of Jefferson, and two sisters, Wilma Sabo and Leola Rodgers, both of Jefferson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald "Dusty" Goff in 1994; a sister, Gertrude Aline Goff, and two brothers, Donald and Ralph Goff. Graveside service is 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Oakdale Cemetery, Jefferson. The Rev. Augusta A. Lange of the Gageville United Methodist Church will officiate. Calling Hours are 6-9 p.m. Sunday an 10-11 a.m. Monday at the Fleming Funeral Home Inc., 49 W. Jefferson St., Jefferson.
