Leona was born on March 15, 1906 at Lehr, North Dakota, the daughter of Wilhelm and Dorathea (Steacker) Kramlich. She attended a country school at Kulm and graduated from 8th grade there. Leona was born on March 15, 1906 at Lehr, North Dakota, the daughter of Wilhelm and Dorathea (Steacker) Kramlich. She attended a country school at Kulm and graduated from 8th grade there. After their marriage the couple moved to three miles south of Kremlin where they farmed until 1967 when they retired and moved to Highland Park in Havre. On Oct. 30, 1973, Mr. Gomke died. Her hobbies were gardening, crocheting and quilting. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Havre. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Irene Schwartz; one infant son, William; and two grandsons, Allen and Dick Nordstrom. She is survived by her children, Frances Bitz of Bremerton, Wash., Alma Klobofski, Elleanora Larson all of Havre; Melvin and Donald Gomke of Kremlin; one step-daughter, Ann Beattie of Stavely, Alberta; two sisters, Emma Howser of Havre, Ceceilia Gebhardt of Lehr, North Dakota; one brother, Otto Kramlich of Arthur, North Dakota; 21 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Havre. Burial in Highland cemetery. Pallbearers were: Denis Klobofski, Larry Larson, Steve Klobofski, Rich Nordstrom, Bill and Tim Gomke.
