Roscoe Leach officiating. Rev. and Mrs. Herbert Roszhart sang "Good Night and Good Morning," Does Jesus Care: and "God Understands" accompanied by Mrs. Roscoe Leach at the piano. Pallbearers were Harlan Nickolaus, Robert Epp, Ed Peters, Melvin Tucker, Levi Peters and Leo Slobzewski. Interment was in the Stockham Cemetery. Mr. Lauhead died at the Henderson Community hospital Saturday following an illness of several years. He had been a patient at the University Hospital in Omaha for sometime. The son of Joseph and Cina Lauhead, he was born April 7, 1909, near Elwood, Neb. He grew up in that community and moved to Stockham in 1942. On June 29, 1942, he was united in marriage to Sara Negley Singer. Three children, two daughters and a son were born. He accepted Christ and was baptized in the Christian church at Elwood, later transferred his membership to the Stockham Bible church, and then to the Assembly of God church in Aurora. He farmed in the Stockham community until a few weeks ago when the family moved north of Hampton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Morgan. Survivors include his wife, a stepson, George Singer, two daughters, Cina and May, and a son, Lester, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Leggott, Elwood, Mrs. Jennie Corder, Aurora, Mrs. Viola Wade, and Mrs. Gertie Gydesen, both of Elwood, two brothers, Beryl of Lexington and Virgil of Aurora.
