Read More	From the Salem Daily Herald Salem, Ohio (Columbiana County) Monday, January 12, 1914 LEWIS SCHULER DIES SUDDENLY Death came very sudden to Lewis Schuler, of 202 West Dry street early Sunday morning. While walking about the house he fell over dead. Mr. Schuler had not been sick, but Saturday was at his usual place of business. Sunday morning when he arose, and after eating his breakfast told his wife that he was not feeling very well. He walked from the kitchen to the living room and then fell to the floor and expired in a few minutes. The family summoned aid at once, but when the doctor arrived Mr. Schular had passed away. The doctor stated that death was due to neuralgia of the heart. Deceased was born December 28, 1852, at Youngstown and was the son of Charles and Mary Schuler. When a young man he moved from Youngstown to a farm south of that city, and what is now known as "Homesteads," along the Y. & S. railroad. Here he lived until 23 years ago when he came to Salem and has since resided. Mr. Schuler was employed at the Deming Company and the Buckeye Engine Company as a machinist. He is a well known man of this city and highly respected by his friends. The news of his death came as a shock to all, and his family are about prostrated over the loss of a kind father, and a loving husband. He was a member of the First M. E. church of this city. In the year 1875 Mr. Schuler was united in marriage to Prosanna Spickler at Boardman. To this union two children were born, Mrs. John C. Bartchy, of West Main street and Miss Lena, at home. Four sisters also survive. They are Mrs. Frances Snyder, Chicago; Mrs. Louise Little, Youngstown; Mrs. Caroline Paulin and Mrs. Anna Rhulman of Woodworth. The funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late home on West Dry street. The services will be in charge of Rev. C. W. Smith, pastor of the M. E. church.
