Description	:	Delphos Republican August 27, 1936 Lila Inez, daughter of Martha Ann, and Simeon Olliver Everley, was born Oct. 20, 1875, on the old homestead near Bethel, and departed this life at her home in Monument, Kansas, August 21, 1936, at the age of 60 years, 10 months and 1 day. Read More	Delphos Republican August 27, 1936 Lila Inez, daughter of Martha Ann, and Simeon Olliver Everley, was born Oct. 20, 1875, on the old homestead near Bethel, and departed this life at her home in Monument, Kansas, August 21, 1936, at the age of 60 years, 10 months and 1 day. She was united in marriage to C.F. Willars, Dec. 28, 1892. To this union was born one son, Cecil. She and her husband made their home in the Excelsior neighborhood. When ready to retire from the farm, they moved to Concordia, Kansas, later moving to Monument to be with their son. She united with the Methodist Church at Bethel at an early age, and was always a willing worker and helper for the Master's cause. She was ever an angel of mercy in caring for the sick, or where a helping hand was needed, and flowers grew at her touch. Her home was her throne. When nine years of age, at his mother's death, she took into her heart and home, her brother Vinemia's son, Oliver Everley. Oliver postponed his college work, and has been constantly at her side to help care for her, and was a great comfort to her. Her husband preceded her in death, Feb 14, 1934. The following December, she was confined to her bed, and all the skill of doctors failed to improve her health or ease her sufferings. She said she was ready, and prayed for, and prayed forth to the Lord to take her home. She told her loved ones not to grieve, and even in her suffering, was always thinking of someone else's comfort and welfare. She leaves to miss her loving care, her son, Cecil Clayton and wife, Edith, and one grandson, Richard Williars, and Oliver Everley, of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Zora Casselman, Beggs, Okla., Mrs. Laura Buckland, Glasco, Mrs. Grank McCollough, Glasco, and Mrs. Merle Gray, of Monanagahla, Penn., five brothers, Golden Everley, Glasco; Howard Everley, Wichita; Victor Everley, Russell Springs; Loyal Everley, Morland, and Marion Everley, Glasco, besides a host of other relatives and friends. One sister, Olive Bullen, and one brother, Vinemia, preceded her in death. She is not dead, but sleepeth, So meekly stand the test; "Some day" perhaps thou'lt understand The Heavenly Father's allwise plan; Remember God knows best. Funeral services were held at the Bethel Church, Sunday afternoon, with Rev. Jas. G. Roberts, of Belleville, in charge, assisted by Rev. L.R Fish of Delphos, and Rev. C.D. Gambriell, of Glasco. The body was laid to rest in the Bethel Cemetery.
