She departed this life on December 12, 1962, at Wahoo, Nebraska at the age of 84 years 8 months and 16 days. On November 10, 1893, she was untied in marriage to August Carl Manske. Nine children were born to this union. After her marriage, she and her husband moved to a farm in Green Precinct, where she lived until last spring, when she moved to Ithaca. Read More	Wahoo Newspaper Dec 20, 1962 - Obituary Lilly Ida Manske, daughter of Ferdinand & Elvina Hanke, was born March 27, 1878, near Ithaca, Nebraska. She departed this life on December 12, 1962, at Wahoo, Nebraska at the age of 84 years 8 months and 16 days. On November 10, 1893, she was untied in marriage to August Carl Manske. Nine children were born to this union. After her marriage, she and her husband moved to a farm in Green Precinct, where she lived until last spring, when she moved to Ithaca. She had been in failing health for seven years. Mrs. Manske joined the Zion Church, formerly south of Ithaca, in 1895, under the ministry of Rev. W. H. Althouse. She had been a faithful member of that church as long as health permitted. Her example of patience in suffering, and her Christian witness will always be an inspiration to all who knew her. Everyone will miss her, but we have the comfort of knowing she is rejoicing in her "Crown of Life." She was preceded in death by her husband on February 12, 1943; sons, John and George; daughters, Alma Mays and Anna, who died in infancy. She is survived by sons, Ernest of Greenwood, Nebraska; and Henry of Davey, Nebraska; daughters, Clara Timm of Ashland, Nebraska, Meta Cousens of San Clemente, California, and Esther Manske of Ithaca; sisters: Mrs. Meta Kruger, Fremont; Mrs. Elsa Scheuneman, Lincoln; Mrs. Nettie Hageman, Ithaca; brothers, Rudolph of Wahoo, and Amos of El Monte, California: 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and a great host of friends. Services were held December 14, 1962, at the E.U.B. Church, Ithaca with Rev. Milford G. Vance officiating. Music was provided by Mrs. Irvin Hageman and Mrs. Ralph Treptow, and the organist, Mrs. Ray Schiefelbein. Pallbearers were Ervin Manske, Glen Manske, Stanley Manske, Wilber Manske, Carlos Timm, and Harvey Timm. Interment was at Indian Mound Cemetery, Ithaca.
