Reimer 96, of Beatrice, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Beatrice Good Samaritan Center. She was born July 15, 1916 in Plymouth, NE. She attended school in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School. Lillie was an apprentice hairdresser and worked at a soda fountain in a local Plymouth Drugstore. She married Harold W. Reimer on April 26, 1942, she lived on a farm west of Beatrice all of her married life. Lillie was baptized in the Evangelical Church in Plymouth, after she was married she became a member of the First Mennonite Church where she was active in the choir, a ladies trio and the Women's Mission Society. Survivors include her children, Ross Reimer and wife Alma of Beatrice, Gordon (Cork) Reimer and wife Ginny of Beatrice, June Christy and husband Richard of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jodi Probst and husband Scott of Danville, CA, Shari DeVeney and husband Brian of Omaha, NE, Casey Reimer and wife Erin of Beatrice, Jeff Christy and wife Michelle of Lincoln, Phil Christy and wife Suzi of Houston, TX, Ali Moellering and husband Scott of Scottsdale, AZ, Jill Christy of San Diego, CA, Rachel Lane and husband Rob of Lincoln; great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Katherine Probst of Danville, CA, Zach and Linden DeVeney of Omaha, Will, Audrey and Taylor Reimer of Beatrice, Jaycelyn and Lillie Lane of Lincoln; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Katherine Ruhl; husband, Harold W. Reimer; 5 brothers and one sister. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2013 at the First Mennonite Church with Pastor Brett Klingenberg officiating. Burial will be at the First Mennonite Cemetery of rural Beatrice. A family prayer service will be held at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday in the fellowship room of the church. The body will lie in state at the Harman-Wright Mortuary from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday with the family greeting friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the Mortuary. A memorial has been established to the Mennonite Central Committee or the Kensington Residents fund with William and Marilyn Goossen in charge.
