She was a clerk at Risch Drug Store West Side for 23 years and a member of Sixth Avenue United Methodist Church, Lancaster. Read More	Linda Fox of Rockbridge, Ohio, formerly of Lancaster, passed away at her residence following heart surgery, surviving cancer 20 years previously. One of 10 siblings, Linda was born & raised in Lancaster, but at the end of World War II her family moved to Stockton, CA near her father's brother, Maurice's family in search of work, before returning to Lancaster in 1947. Linda attended Berne Union High School where she was in an All-Girl Chorus. As a parent, she served as PTA Treasurer, PTA Room Mother, Cub Scout Den Mother, Brownie & Girl Scout Leader at Cedar Hts. Elem. where she had also attended. She was a cheerleading, Boy Scout & basketball supporter at Sherman Jr. High and LHS. She took her children to church & taught Bible School. She was also an Election Poll worker for many years. She loved singing, holidays, her glassware, embroidery, quilting, home grown flowers, cats & dogs, but especially her family. She was a great cook & canned from her garden. She stayed at home with her children when they were little, but babysat for years to pay for groceries & clothing. She didn't have it easy & she didn't ask for anything, but despite that she had a good sense of humor. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Willis "Bill" Sr. and Mary Ellen (Moore) Boley and brother, Willis "Bud" Boley Jr. She is survived by her husband; daughter & son-in-law, Dana (Tom) Mariner of Ormond Beach, FL; son, David Fox & life partner Barbara Rarick of Lancaster, OH; grandchildren, Thomas Mariner IV & Angela Mariner; brothers, Michael (Nancy) Boley of Parkersburg, WV, Paul Boley of Baton Rouge, LA, Kevin Boley of Lancaster, ; and sisters, Janice (Harry) Appel, Marilyn (Charles) Meyer, Kay Hillyard, Robin Boley, all of Lancaster and Martha (Russell) Yost of Baltimore, OH; sister-in-law, Patricia Boley (Ken) Ziegler, Bonaire, GA. Note: Modified obit. published in the Lancaster Eagle Gazette August 6, 1999. --------------------------- Lineage to become a Daughter of the American Revolution through ancestor Daniel Conrad was fulfilled by her daughter & granddaughter, Dana Fox Mariner & Angela Mariner.
