Description	:	Loda, a son of Thomas J. and Sarah A. "Sally" (nee Palmer) Wilson, was near certainly born in either 1872 or 1873, the latter year being more likely. He was the husband of Anna M. Hudson Wilson (1866-1938), who he wed in Camden, Camden Co., NJ on 30 January 1893. The couple permanently resettled to Loda's hometown of Lewes, DE circa 1897. They resided there on McFee St. He was a widower during his final twenty years of life. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Obituary published in The Salisbury Times (Salisbury, Wicomico Co., MD) on Wednesday, 8 January 1958, page 2, follows: Loda Wilson LEWES - Loda Wilson, age 82 [sic], an employe of the Town of Lewes in the street department many years, died Sunday night at the Beebe Hospital after a long illness. Born in Lewes, he was the son of the late Thomas and Sarah Palmer Wilson of this vicinity. His only immediate survivors are one brother, Benjamin Wilson of Lewes, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was to be held at Atkins Funeral Home in Lewes at 2 p.m. today, conducted by the Rev. A. E. Dougherty, pastor of Bethel Methodist Church. Burial will be in Lewes [Bethel] Methodist Cemetery. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * There is no tombstone over Loda's grave, though he is known to definitely be buried in this cemetery. Presumably he is buried in the same plot as daughter Edna. Sadly, none of Loda and Annie's children lived to reach adulthood or to survive them.
