Lois and Kenneth are the parents of: ~Michael ~Diane ********* Loess Hills Funeral Home; January 14, 2011 Lois Marie Clark, one of thirteen children of Lelia Iona (Fletcher) Hardy and Corwin Arthur Hardy, was born on January 29, 1936 at her Aunt Melva Wallace's home in Malvern, Iowa. She attended country school through the eighth grade and then stayed home to help care for her brothers and sisters. Lois and Kenneth Eugene Clark were married on February 15, 1954 in Glenwood, Iowa. The first two years, they made their home on a farm south of Malvern, and the next two years on a farm east of Malvern. In 1958, they moved to their present home north of Tabor, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Michael Eugene and Diane Kay. Lois loved the farm, raising their two children and helping with Kenneth with the crops in the fall. After the children were grown, Lois worked for Unitog in Glenwood for 25 years. She also loved watching her two grandsons; Ryan and Kyle, when they were babies and as they grew up to be young men. Lois and Kenneth looked forward to summer vacations, traveling to Texas, Colorado, the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. Lois enjoyed flying with Kenneth in his ultra light. They farmed until the day of Kenneth's heart attack on January 10, 2006. Lois and Kenneth had been married 52 years when Kenneth passed away on May 6, 2006, at the age of 70. Lois continued living at her home and being active. She had a love for Barbie dolls. Lois would receive a Holiday Edition Barbie each year from her son, which is lovingly displayed throughout her home. She enjoyed attending holiday dinners with her brothers and sisters and their families. Lois also looked forward to going with her mother-in-law, Nina to McDonalds in Glenwood on Sundays for her chicken sandwich. They would sit and visit with friends until recently when her health began to decline. Lois passed away on January 14, 2011 at the Hospice with Heart house in Glenwood, at the age of 74 years, 11 months, and 15 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lelia and Corwin Hardy; husband Kenneth Clark; brother Leonard Hardy; sister Stella Blackburn-Hamilton; brothers-in-law, Junior Driskell, Gary Blackburn, Eldon Hamilton, and Ralph Owen; sister-in-law, Kay Hardy; and father-in-law Leo Clark. Lois is survived by her son Michael; daughter Diane; and grandsons, Ryan and Kyle; brothers, Lowell, Lavern, Merle and Donnie; sisters, Ellen, Carolyn, Beverly, Mary, Bonnie and Sherrel; mother-in-law Nina; sister-in-law Darlene; nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends. She will be missed by her children, family, and many friends. God bless her.
