Had she lived until the 15th of this month, she would have been 31 years old. Lois spent her girlhood on a farm north of Delphos and attended school at Bernard school district. In May 1934 she was united in marriage to L.C. King and they made their home in Glasco. For several years Lois served as a librarian, during which time she gained the love of all the children about town, as well as the respect and admiration of the grown-ups. At the time of her death she was successfully managing the Boyd cafe and all her patrons were met with her pleasant smile and her cheery greeting. The deceased is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Grounds of Concordia; by six brothers, Chester of Concordia, Emil of Las Vegas, Nevada; Glenn of Beloit; Forrest of Cheyenne, Wyoming; Berle of Omaha, Nebr.; also by nine nephews and nieces and several aunts and uncles, and a host of friends who join the relatives in their great sorrow. Lois was a member of the Bethel church and Sunday School in her early childhood, and was converted at that time. Card of Thanks We desire to express our deepest appreciation and thanks to the kind friends and neighbors, singers and pallbearers, who so generously gave of their assistance and sympathy and who in so many ways showed their friendship and deep concern during the death of our beloved daughter and sister; also for the beautiful floral offerings. She was estranged from him when he shot and killed her in the Boyd Cafe, then went outside and shot himself. They had been married since May of 1934.
