Description	:	LORRAINE GEARHART, 76, died at home in Lodi, CA, January 16, 2007. Lorraine was born on August 3, 1930 in West Point, Nebraska, the eldest of eight children of Arthur and Viola Doescher. She and her husband, Lowell, married and moved to the Bay Area in 1955, where they resided until retiring to the San Joaquin Delta in 1988, and then to Lodi in 1993. Lorraine retired from Dreyer's Ice Cream. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lodi and the National Camping Travelers. She was also an active member of the Boy Scouts for many years. She... Read More	LORRAINE GEARHART, 76, died at home in Lodi, CA, January 16, 2007. Lorraine was born on August 3, 1930 in West Point, Nebraska, the eldest of eight children of Arthur and Viola Doescher. She and her husband, Lowell, married and moved to the Bay Area in 1955, where they resided until retiring to the San Joaquin Delta in 1988, and then to Lodi in 1993. Lorraine retired from Dreyer's Ice Cream. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lodi and the National Camping Travelers. She was also an active member of the Boy Scouts for many years. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, playing cards, board games, and camping. Lorraine leaves behind Lowell, her loving husband of 51 years; her children, Denise Pagan (Dan) of Hayward, CA, Michael Gearhart of Escalon, CA, and Debbie (Frank) DeFreitas of San Leandro, CA. Lorraine is also survived by her nine grandchildren, Michael (Celeste), Chris, Justin, Jessica, Kyle, Gabe, Brian, Amie and Taylor. Lorraine is also survived by her seven siblings, their spouses; numerous nieces; nephews; and cousins. Although Lorraine had numerous challenges with her health, she never complained. We will miss her dearly. Family and friends are invited to the CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA, for Visitation on Sunday afternoon , January 21, from 1:00-4:00 PM and Funeral Service on Monday, 10:00 AM, with interment to follow.
