Read More	OBITUARY OF LOUISE EMMA WOMOCHIL [As appeared in the Abilene Reflector-Chronicle (Abilene, Kansas), Tuesday, November 21, 1944, page 5.] Louise Emma, better known as Lula Hartman, was the daughter of Christ and Agnes Hartman. She was born on the old Hartman homestead located 3 miles northeast of Elmo, on March 27, 1878, and passed away at the Abilene Nursing Home on Sunday evening, November 12, 1944. At the time of her death she was 66 years, 7 months and 17 days old. Even after her marriage she never lived over five miles away from the place of her birth, thus spending her entire life near the village of Elmo. At an early age she was converted and baptized in the Evangelical church. In the year 1911 she transferred her membership from the Evangelical church to the Elmo Methodist church. Some years ago when the Elmo Methodist church disbanded, her membership was transferred to the Methodist church at Hope, Kansas. In this latter church she held her membership at the time of her passing. On December 27, 1900, Miss Louise Hartman and Z. W. Womochil were united in marriage. To this union three children were born. Mrs. Womochil is survived by her husband Z. W. Womochil of Elmo, Kansas, and by her three children, Roy Womochil of Abilene; Howard Womochil of Enterprise; and Mrs. Ruth Trostle of Paola. There are also 10 grandchildren and many nephews and nieces surviving her. Besides these there are 4 sisters and 3 brothers surviving her and mourning her passing. They are Mrs. Rosa Sprecher, Abilene; Mrs. Lavina Baumgarth, Abilene; Mrs. Minnie Gantenbein, Hope; Mrs. Sarah McAdams, Carlton; C. P. Hartman, John Hartman and Leonard Hartman all of Elmo. Two sisters preceded her in death. Memorial services for Mrs. Womochil were held at the Eicholtz Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday afternoon, November 14, 1944, at 2:30 o’clock by the Rev. W. J. Becker, pastor of the New Basel Church. Interment was made in the Elmo Cemetery. The Herman Quartet composed of Mrs. Harold Herman, Mrs. John Meuli, Harold Herman, and Oscar Herman, with Mrs. W. J. Becker as accompanist sang “Rock of Ages,” “Beautiful Isle,” and “Nearer My God to Thee.” The pallbearers were: Gordon Miller, Theodore Rutz, Marvin Tischouser, John L. Hartman, Richard McAdams, and A. C. Gantenbein. MARRIAGE ANNOUNCEMENT (Abilene Daily Chronicle (Abilene, Kansas), Thursday, December 27, 1900, page 1.) MARRIED. Z. W. Womochil and Miss Louisa Hartman, both of Dayton, were married at noon today at the Evangelical parsonage, Rev. J. K. Young officiating. These young people will make their home near Dayton.
